Danielle Herrington’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Cover Gets Slammed By #MeToo Movement Supporters — Go Viral
In the wake of the #MeToo movement, Sports Illustrated is getting slammed for having Danielle Herrington on the cover of their newly released Swimsuit Edition in a bikini showing off her perky butt.
Dawn Hawkins, the executive director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, said the sexy photos will lead to more sexual harassment and assault, and she wants stores to stop selling the magazine.
Hawkins sees SI as a nightmare, but it is a dream come true for Miss Herrington, as she is shining on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit for its annual issue.
The 24-year-old model made an astonishing jump in her career, as just one year ago, she appeared in the magazine as a rookie, while now she is on the front page.
The lucky model from Compton, California is only the third African-American woman to pose for the cover of SI since its launch in 1964.
The other two black ladies who appeared on the most important page of the mag were the legendary model and TV mogul Tyra Banks and Texas music superstar Beyonce.
The photographs for the special issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit were taken in Habour Island, Bahamas by photographer Ben Watts.
