It looks like Lionel Richie is not all that worried about his daughter Sofia dating Scott Disick as he thinks their relationship is nothing more but a ‘phase’ in the young model’s life. Although it is pretty apparent that the romance between Scott and Sofia has been getting serious lately, not everyone sees it like that.

Her father is convinced they are not going to last.

During a recent interview, the man told all about how he sees their relationship saying: ‘It is just a phase and I am going to stand really still in the corner, get a good drink and not make much noise. Now I know what my parents meant when I came through the door with my Afro and my girlfriend and said ‘Dad, I am in love.’ My daughter is getting me back for my Afro days! She is 19. When you are 19, you think you know everything.’

Aside from that, Lionel also made sure to sort of praise the Kardashians for being able to control their public lives’ narratives so well.

‘This is a well-oiled machine, the Kardashian-machine. I do not really know what to think.’

But while the father is certain Sofia is just going through a normal stage in her life when she thinks she’s found true love but she’s too young to know what love is, she and Scott are taking this seriously.

After Kourtney’s baby daddy was spotted shopping for some expensive jewelry before Valentine’s Day, the girl also gave her older boyfriend a romantic social media shoutout.

Happy Valentines babe 🌹

Besides, we hear from sources that Scott thinks Sofia is a much better fit for him than the Kardashian.

‘No one expected things with Scott and Sofia to get so serious like this, and even their close friends are shocked. But they really do work well together.
